Mpumalanga Tour

Experience Mpumalanga's breathtaking views, impressive mountain range, extraordinary waterfalls and green valleys.

On our Mpumalanga tour we head north from Johannesburg along the Panorama Route, one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in South Africa. It leads through the rugged mountain range Northern Drakensberg to Mpumalanga province.

The Panoramic Route in Mpumalanga passes the northeastern part of the Great Escarpment. Very exiting is the place, where the plateau declines abruptly and opens up a fantastic view of the Lowveld thousand metres below.

These are some of the Mpumalanga tour's spectacular sceneries:

  • Blyde River Canyon the 3rd largest in the world, filled with lush vegetation and wild Life. It’s also the largest green Canyon in the world.
  • God's Window: Part of the Drakensberg escarpment, from it's majestic cliffs you can view the breathtaking beauty of the Lowveld.
  • Bourke’s Luck Potholes: Are spectacular rock formations that were shaped aeons ago by erosion.
  • Three Rondavels: Are huge triplet rock spirals rising out of the far wall of the Canyon, towering out about 700m above the surrounding landscape.
  • The Pinnacle Rock: Is a tower like freestanding quartzite butters which rises 30m above the dense fern clad ravine and indigenous forest.
  • Lisbon Falls: One of the several breathtaking waterfalls along the Panoramic Route. This one drops down more than 92 meters.
  • Pilgrims Rest a living museum. The historical town was declared a provincial Heritage site. It will take you back in time, back to the gold rush days.

The Mpumalanga Tour is combined with the Kruger National Park Safari.
